In every success there will always be people who are behind of it, and this year’s Pair with Flare would not be triumphant if theres people, behind the scene, are not there to plan, implement, and assist with hard work and love. The Directors/trainers/event coordinators Ms. Cheryl Marie Aguilar, Ms. Cheriebelle Gegato, Ms. Krysta Maria Lariego and Ms. Marlene Zarate indeed deed a great job. This event would not also be possible if the Language and Letters Division of the College of Arts and Sciences is not there to create and innovate this unique event of showcasing student’s talents in a fun, interesting and educational way.

Pair with Flare enables students to show their various talents. Unlike the typical pageant, which only caters the participant’s confidence, intelligence and talents, pair with Flare showcases candidate’s creativity and capacities in a personalized and unique ways? In this event, the contestant’s poise, communication skills, acting skills and intelligence are challenged and developed as well. This event is not only beneficial to the participant’s but to the audiences as well, especially to the students. Pair with Flare features literary pieces, and this is a rare means of exploring literature. Instead of reading thick literary books, students may just watch activities like this to discover more about literature.

This is much more interesting and fun way of learning. It as well encourages students (audience) to read. As literary pieces are presented, the curiosities of the students are surely triggered. This may be a very good way to entice them to read, read, and read.
