Bukidnon State University celebrated English Week last February 20-24 2012. One of the activities held was the job fair. It was participated by almost all of the graduating students in BSU. Job Fair is giving opportunity to the jobless to work on a company. The Job Interview was held at BSU covered court. It started from 8:00 until 4:00 in the afternoon. In the morning, before the interview started Mr. Herculano S. Romulo, CDPC/PESO Manager gave the acknowledgement of participating agencies, Dr. Victor M.Barroso, the university president gave the welcome address, and it was followed by Dr. Helen M. Escudero, the head guidance services that gave the rational of the activity. Mr. Siosinio B. Cano, Dole regional director in region x rendered the message together with Mrs. Apasra S. Abas the OIC Philippine overseas Employment Administrator region x. After which, MR. Raul M. Valmores, senior labor employment officer gave the mechanics of the job fair. In the afternoon Dr. Victor M. Barroso gave the welcome address and Dr. Helen M.Escudero introduced the speaker, that was Mr. Winston L. Salim, recruitment officer concentrics while Ms. Mariza P. Manlagaylay was the emcee. The companies that were there are: San Miguel Foods, SM Surplus, SM Savemore, SM Homeworld, SM ToyKingdom, Concentrix, Arriba Telecontact, Interserve Manpower, Cagayan Corn Products, Oro Graphic Inc., He & Sons Corp., AsiaPro Coop., Pepsi Cola Prod. Phli., BIGBBES, TOYOTA, Philippine Army, REBISCO, Asian Hills Bank, Lapanday, Unifrutti, Del monte Phil. Inc, Crystal Sugar Milling, Dole Skyland North, DAVCO, Asian Highbrid, Gaisano, Sumipro, Jollibee,and SKYTOP.
Indeed, the program ended successfully, everyone thanked for the opportunity, though, other were not hired, and still it contributes to them the organization’s public relations by leaving the applicant with a positive feeling regardless of the hiring decisions.
